Desktop Deployment Planning Services Sample Scope of Work
1 Day DDPS
The typical 1 day DDPS session will be held on-site or remotely but will comprise no more than 8 hours of customer time. As a result of this delivery format, the agenda has been simplified and as such there will be no MDT environment customizations or lab build process. This engagement can be delivered onsite in a single day, or remotely by means of three to four conference calls. The following agenda includes a suggested schedule of conference calls should a remote format be chosen.
3 Day DDPS
The 3, 5, 10 and 15 day engagements share a common schedule, where the longer engagements build on the foundation of the shorter engagements. The following sections include tentative schedules to allow for scheduling of proper resources during each session. For the longer engagements, the third day schedule entails technical drill down sessions, and will be driven by customer interest. For a 3 day DDPS engagement there will be no MDT environment customizations or lab build process.
5 Day DDPS
For a 5 day DDPS engagement there will be some customizations made to the portable (Virtual) demonstration MDT environment brought by the delivery consultant. These customizations will incorporate 2 variants of workstation hardware to create an automated build process for those workstations. In addition, 3 pre-packaged line-of-business applications may be installed as role-based applications or from the Zero Touch Provisioning system.
10 and 15 Day DDPS
For a 10 or 15 day Desktop DDPS engagements a full lab build of all MDT Enterprise components can be delivered including customer specific environment customizations. These customizations should usually be limited to 2 variants of workstation hardware to create an automated build process for those workstations. In addition, no more than three pre-packaged line-of-business applications should be evaluated as role-based applications using SCCM.
